To ensure a safe, eco-friendly, and enjoyable wildlife experience inside Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve, all visitors are required to follow the guidelines below:

General Park Rules

  • All safari bookings and accommodations are subject to approval by park authorities. Changes or cancellations may occur as per official regulations.
  • Carrying weapons, firearms, or any hazardous items inside the reserve is strictly prohibited.
  • Entry with pets or domestic animals is not allowed.

Movement & Safety Guidelines

  • Walking, trekking, or getting down from vehicles inside the forest area is strictly forbidden.
  • Night driving or staying inside the park beyond permitted hours is not allowed.
  • Visitors must follow designated safari routes and avoid entering restricted zones.

Environmental Protection Rules

  • Lighting fire, smoking in forest areas, or cooking in unauthorized locations is strictly prohibited.
  • Visitors must carry reusable litter bags and take back all non-biodegradable waste like plastic bottles, cans, and wrappers.
  • Keeping the park clean is mandatory; violations may lead to penalties.

Safari & Driving Rules

  • A certified forest guide is compulsory for every safari.
  • Overspeeding, honking, or driving off-track is strictly prohibited.
  • Vehicles must be parked only in designated parking areas.

Wildlife Protection Rules

  • Do not disturb wildlife by shouting, chasing, teasing, or feeding animals.
  • Maintain a safe distance from all animals for your safety and theirs.
  • Silence and patience enhance your wildlife experience.

Accommodation Guidelines

  • Visitors must check in on the first day of reservation or inform authorities in advance.
  • Standard occupancy: 2 adults + 2 children (below 12 years) per room; extra beds are chargeable.
  • A clearance certificate is required before leaving forest rest houses.

Visitor Conduct & Responsibility

  • Wear nature-friendly colors like khaki, olive green, or dull shades.
  • Conserve resources by switching off lights, fans, and water taps when not in use.
  • Entry permits must be obtained before entering the tourism zones, and timing rules must be strictly followed.
